Alexis Sablone, JB Gillet for Magenta and our very own Jiri Bulin for Blue Flowers

Alexis Sablone, JB Gillet for Magenta and our very own Jiri Bulin for Blue Flowers

Apologies for the delay - heavy couple of weeks here. No mind though as we've a bumper trio of recent video gold for your October perusal. First up, one of the most truly unsung heroines of the skateboarding world finally gets some of the recognition that she's overdue. The latest Epicly Later'd focuses on East Coast lengend, PJ Ladd's 'Wonderful Horrible Life' alumna. Yeah, if you know your stuff then you'll already know that we're talking about Alexis Sablone. This doc' details her early life up to her blow up in the first ever viral skate video, her subsequent struggles for sponsorship support, her movement into academia and her embrace of contest culture to 'avoid getting a real job', right up to her current status as Converse pro shoe recipient/Alltimers pro and highly regarded architect and artist. This really is a story that needed to be told with none of the usual tiresome drugs and booze redemption stories that often dog this series. All hail the mighty Alexis. Go watch - now!

Next up is another OG of the highest calibre. This time around we're talking Lyon's finest JB Gillet and a brilliant retrospective piece via French brand Magenta. If you don't already rate the 'Gilletine' - you will after watching this. It's incredible. Dive into the Hotel de Ville archives and then check out our Magenta range. Magnifique!

Thirdly, but by no means least, comes a banger of a video part from deep Black Sheep family member and all round superman Jiri Bulin. Filmed in and around MCR by Michał Buśko and edited by Blue Flowers owner and ripper Mark Kendrick, Dead End World is what we've all come to expect from Jiri. Straight up ripping of a highly technical volume on rugged architecture. You'll love this - if you don't sort then your head out. Amazing work Jiri mate!
