Atlantic Drift 16 - Vienna to Budapest

Atlantic Drift 16 - Vienna to Budapest

It's been what seems like an age since the last Atlantic Drift, (which took place in Bangkok). The extended crew are back again with the very welcome addition of Sci Fi Fantasy's wall man Akwasi Owusu bringing the glue foot magic to a wealth of previously under-exposed European architecture. Not sure the Hungarian guy was too stoked on him wallriding a bus full of passengers but, what can you do? The rest of the crew, (including now established extra regulars Max Palmer, Cyrus Bennett and Nik Stain) do what they do best. Selecting interesting objects and approaches to skating all set to Jacob Harris's David Lynch-esque atmosphere and music. If you watched these before then you'll know what to expect - if you haven't then this is the perfect entry point to one of the best video series in skateboarding. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of Mike Arnold footage in here too given a) his propensity to apply the 'less is more' principle to his output and b) seeing as he's now riding for whatever the hell that EDGLRD brand is. With that said, Mike rarely disappoints and he doesn't here. Baker pro and lovely lad Casper Brooker has some banging footage and perpetual man-of-the-moment Tom Knox does what only he does - the crook to 5050 in particular being outstanding. Do we need to go on? Go watch it doylums.

The mention of New Balance Numeric's own Tom Knox above has left our mouths watering for Intervals, the new NB Numeric full-length (ish) slated to drop at some point this month. For now, watch the Tiago stand alone Oslo part below and then take in Winkle's behind-the-scenes look at last week's Madrid Interval premiere event complete with our mate Dave Mackey, Tiago Lemos and a brace of other related New Balance heads. Can't wait!
