Bit of a mixed bag here for the first blog post of February of 2025 (!). First up, we have a brilliant new all-street part from the ever-beaming queen of legit Instagram content, Cata Diaz. Hailing from Chile originally, Toy Machine and Nike SB rider Cata has found her way to the UK via a long stint in Barcelona and thus, her dropping a part entirely filmed in the UK kind of makes sense. (Only 'kinda' though - who'd choose to film a street part in the UK in winter other than a maniac?). Lots to get hyped on here with Cata's PMA and power-push hitting everywhere from London to Leeds and with Leeds videographer Hilda Quick on editing duties, this is pretty much an all-female endeavour (minus the assistant filmers that is). Anyhow - it's fast-paced, features spots new and old and you'll be hard-pressed to find a more positive representative of skateboard culture. Big up all involved!
Next up in (kind of) related Toy Machine news (what with Muska being an ex-rider) comes the latest 411VM compilation edit from online archivist Brad Haze. This is a 4 and a half minute mash up of all of Muska's 411 footage from his peak vest and boombox era. Those of us old enough to remember VHS tapes can revel in the nostalgia, whilst the younger amongst you can get a curated glimpse into the past. Big up everyone digitising VHS tapes and making these fan edits. For the culture!
Do we need to explain why you need to watch the latest Cyrus Bennett part? Though not. Watch now and see what peak everything looks like. Insanity.
And finally, for this post at least, is an amusing one from the top lads at Palace Skateboards. Everyone loves a reaction video, right? Well prepare yourself for top bantz and back chat from assorted Palace heads (Rory Milanes, Benny Fairfax, Chewy and Lucien to name just a few) whilst they watch and joke about their 2017 banger Palasonic. Expect Lucien's mum's wisdom, earnest commentary from Rory on the subject of road safety and "tracky ramps" info. Funny stuff...
