Vice Magazine have been documenting some of skateboarding's finest in their Epicly Later'd series for some time now and who could be more interesting than Ali Boulala. As far as skateboarding goes Ali Boulala has had a huge impact on skateboarding since the early 90s to this very day. Some of you will probably recognize him from his early Flip video parts launching himself down the biggest sets known to man. Pioneering the PD 'Piss Drunxs' antics and leading the wild lifestyle we would associate with the yet familiar crew.
Since the birth of Vice magazineâs â Epicly Laterâd (curated by Patrick OâDell) Ali has been in for a series wince it first started. Although it was unfortunately postponed, due to a drunken motorbike accident involving both Flip professionals Shane Cross and Ali Boulala. This tragically left Ali in a coma and even worse took the life of Shane Cross. In this 4 part series you can expect to see the start of Ali and what his life was like growing up in Sweden, then traveling to California, becoming a skateboard celebrity and the effects that had on his life. Then finally the last few years of how Ali has rehabilitated from addiction and injury to rebuild his life in Stockholme after the accident.
