Yes! The sun...it does exist. Thank any God you like because Spring is well and truly here. With the arrival of April comes a trio of banging video drops from the mighty Antihero skateboards, the downhill maniacs at GX1000 and the latest release from American-born but Japan-based filmer Rob Taro. First things first (and kind of in chronological order) comes a full part (pretty much) from one of Antihero's most productive new guard. Gus Gordon can and does skate everything from pools to handrails and if you're not already a fan, you will be after watching this. Can't wait for the inevitable full-length featuring more of him soon.
Next up - if you're a fan of Japan's skate scene like us then it's highly probable you'll be aware of the work of Rob Taro already but, if you're not, this is the perfect place to get acquainted with him. Short but stacked with known and unknown Japanese skaters on the kinds of otherworldly architecture that you should have come to expect: Time Scan 2.5 is a beast! Go watch.
Finally, for this blog post at least, is a new video from the GX1000 crew taking their daredevil antics to the rough and insanely steep streets of Colombia. As always, this is 'look through your fingers' levels with some truly death-defying tricks, speeds and hill bombs. The Jeff Carlyle footage on its own warrants some online hyperbole if we're honest. Seeing how stoked the residents of each barrio get on seeing these lunatics conquer hills made of crumbling concrete also marks a vast switch up from the responses from the general public seen in their SF-based output. This will give you anxiety - in a good way. Go on lads!
