Heroin Skateboards 'Mutate or Die' and Tony Hawk, Followed

Salutations from a better place. Sun's out, guns out. First up we've got the latest and much anticipated release from the mighty Heroin skateboards. Mutate or Die rocks in at 26 minutes so is, for all intents and purposes, a proper full length video in 2026 terms. Along with cameos from many OG Heroin skateboards heads like Chris Pulman, Fos and Craig Questions, this one functions as a showcase for the brand's new team riders and delivers in true Heroin fashion. Fans of kerb skating (or 'curb' if you want to use the American spelling) are going to love this too as there's a huge amount of Heroin Egg coping dancing throughout. Basically, if you already dig Heroin skateboards then you'll love this. If you're new to Mark 'Fos' Foster's universe, prepare to feel a spot lust of a new kind. With an international cast and full parts from Hayate Kamimura, Britton Larsen, Jojo Ducros, Dead Dave, Charlie Gush, Terry Kraus and Nolan Houghton, this is Heroin at its best in my opinion. Wax on, wax off.

Second up we have the latest in the truly excellent 'Followed' series from Pocket Skate Mag. We've posted about these videos before because we love their  combination of Epicly Later'd and Day in the Life formats and their selection of candidates to follow. This time it's the turn of skateboarding's most famous exponent and a man still innovating and inventing tricks in his mid-50s. Who are we on about? Why it's Tony Hawk AKA The Birdman AKA Big Tone himself. As always with these great segments, we are allowed to look inside the daily life of Tony Hawk in a way that I don't recall ever having done previously. After showing us around his house, Tony takes the Pocket skate Mag crew out to his backyard skatepark where he guiltily reveals that he too has fallen victim to the curb enthusiasm now rife in the post-50s skate community. Tony Hawk struggles to backside slappy a curb - who knew? Following that we get a look inside the Birdhouse offices which also house Tony Hawk's infamous ramp with its equally infamous channel. A session ensues with the man himself filming lip bangers for an upcoming Birdhouse video release accompanied by long-time friend and ally Lance Mountain. There's much more that goes on, but do you really need any more convincing? Though not...
