Get your heads ready because this is some next-level stuff. Unless you live on the moon, you'll already be aware that Jimmy Wilkins is on a supernatural level of ability but what you possibly didn't also know is that fellow vertical maestro Shea Donavan is similarly otherworldly. This is not just another 'filmed at Tony Hawk's ramp' part though, even though it is primarily filmed at the Bird Man's now familiar facility. Aside from the shit these two are doing on their boards, what makes this one even more special is that this dynamic duo also filmed it all. Vert button jokes well and truly dispensed on this one as the skating is hyper progressive (on a peak Colin McKay/Danny Way tip) but the filming is also on some serious NBD shit. Mid run camera switches between Shea Donavan and Jimmy Wilkins, fish eye angles of lip tricks shot mid way through huge backside airs and chuckling as RED cameras get smashed all adds up to a very unique watch. If the kickflip Losi grind doesn't get you then the frontside 540 ollie will. Otherworldly levels my dossers! Watch. Now.
On a completely different tip but still in tune with recent blog posts hyping up recent UK independent releases comes Camel Skateboards latest 8 minute banger. Catchily entitled 'xXx_C4m3l_xXx.mp4' this is a short but sharp blast of contemporary Liverpool street skating created by those people inside of it. Some of the names might be new to you but it's well worth your time. From Jordan Leadbetter's manny prowess to Nathan Clancy's absurdist outfits and general hammer approach - this is 8 minutes that you will not regret giving up. Get on it...
