Proper stoked on this one! We're very proud to announce that Black Sheep Manchester have teamed up with one of our favourite artists for the Lucas Beaufort A Very Special Board Series. Back during the initial Covid 19 global lockdown, French artist Lucas Beaufort connected with 9 independent, skater-owned stores across the globe and floated the idea of creating the Lucas Beaufort Very Special Board Series that you can see in the animated video by Jack Hyde above. The idea was to celebrate the cultural significance of the independent skate shop by creating a unique run of boards featuring Lucas Beaufort's much-loved art. Hailing from Cannes, France, Lucas Beaufort's distinctive artwork has appeared alongside many brands within skateboard culture over the last two decades. Lucas Beaufort's collaborations have spanned the spectrum of the skate world with board graphics for the likes of Almost Skateboards, Sk8 Mafia and Zero, textile work for Vans and North Face and cover art for German skate mag Solo, to name but a few. You'll definitely be familiar with Lucas' work but if not, (or you want to see more of it) check out his website at www.lucasbeaufort.com To return to the matter in hand, the Lucas Beaufort A Very Special Board Series features bespoke graphics on Generator wood for the following stores: Antisocial (Vancouver, Canada), Slappy's Garage (San Diego), 303 (Denver), Working Class (Moncton, Canada), Nozebone (Paris), Uprise (Chicago), 242 (Geneva, Switzerland), Lockwood (Antwerp, Belgium) and of course, ourselves here at Black Sheep Store in Manchester. Each participating store will receive one complete set of all 9 boards and a full stock of their own particular bespoke board. Be warned though: Lucas Beaufort's art work is extremely popular, we have limited numbers of the Black Sheep board, and these will fly out. If you're keen - don't sleep.
