New Polar Skate Co video online now for your eyes
After some teasing, the latest New Polar Skate Co video is out.
Polar Skate Co owner, mastermind and general force of nature Pontus Alv has definitely done it again. It's been asked before: 'Can Polar Skate Co' keep this video momentum up?' Have no fear - they can and with the release of 'Sounds Like You guys Are Crushing It' Pontus and his team once again reassert their rightful position as one of the most elite forces in skateboarding.
If you're already a Polar Skate Co fan, you'll know what to expect.
Multi-terrain skating, incredible filming, trend-setting tricks and of course the ubiquitous denim golden egg AKA 'Polar Big Boys'.
This new Polar Skate Co video features all of their current team (even Pontus Alv makes an appearance in the outro) but the focus is very much on some of the newer additions. That's not to say that Hjalte or Oski don't have clips in this New Polar Skate Co piece - they absolutely do and they kill it, but the stars of this new Polar skate Co video for us are Ville Wester, Jamie Platt, Emile Laurent and Dane Brady. With Ville and the UK's Polar Skate Co representative Jamie Platt being the brand's latest pros it's hardly a surprise to see them both GO IN for this but it's definitely a treat.
Jamie's gigantic frame throws itself over huge obstacles with the delicate finesse that he will be infamous for in years to come. A truly outstanding first full part from him.
As for Bryggeriet-trained Ville Wester - my God! The level of ability wrapped up in this perma-smiling neo-Goth is truly astounding. Pulling off the track from the shared Bod Boyle and Andy Roy section from Santa Cruz Speed Wheels 1990 video 'A Reason for Living' isn't the easiest thing to do but Ville does it. Big up Pontus for resurrecting so many classic VHS era skate video tunes here: Naked Raygun's 'Treason' deserves to be heard by more people and this new Polar Skate co video will ensure that it is.
For the archivists amongst you, the full track list can be found in the copy accompanying this new Polar Skate co video on the Polar YouTube page. Go forth and entertain yourselves.
And that really is all that needs to be said. However, as we're in an educational mood please find below the video precursor to Polar Skate Co and the vehicle through which Pontus Alv launched his post Cliche career.
