Bosh! Didn't see this new Vans video with Rowan Zorilla and co coming. Maybe that's because I put my phone down for 14 seconds and unglued my eyes from Instagram? Could be I guess. Regardless, it's a new Vans video with Rowan Zorilla, Aiden Mackey and Diego Todd. Hang on, did I miss someone? Ah yeah the ever mysterious Canadian connection Etienne Gagne. Doesn't 'gagne' mean 'won' in French too? Fact check - yes it does. Coolest name in skating alert! Anyway, enough preamble. Onto the new Vans video with Rowan Zorilla et al. Coming in just shy of 20 minutes, this is a full-length by 2023 standards. Red Devil Aiden Mackey open things up with booze and ginger-themed hi-jinx and part full of his deceptively simple-looking skating. High speeds, hesh tech mannies and plenty of slappy/wallie tricks make this a relatable watch. Stoked on the former Lakai/Crailtap head Jon Sciano cameo too. Beast! Speaking of cameos, Blackpool's own Danny Brady pops up in this too which is always nice. Not seen much of Etienne Gagne before but if this is anything to go on - he's going to be big, baby. Fuck me...Rowan Zorilla is amazing. I don't really have much more to say on that. Just watch his part. And the Baker and Sci Fi cameos contained therein. Bonkers. Everyone's favourite moody skinhead Ben Kadow pops up after his fellow Supreme rider and does what he does. You can say whatever you like about his post-ironic (?) take on being a pro skater and what constitutes acceptable denim but this guy has the snaps. Short but hectic. Diego Todd finishes it off (and his bollocks it seems) with a part of genuinely joyful-looking creative skating. Truly hyped on the fact that Diego has the curtains of this new Vans video with Rowan Zorilla. He deserves the shine and with a style and trick bag like a cross between Louie Barletta and Louie Lopez, geggs man is going to go far. Amazing shit! Anyway, enough chat - go watch it!
