Yes! It's not pissed down for a week. Unbelievable scenes. Thank your chosen deity.
First up for August 2024 blog posts are a duo of absolutely banging clips backed by Nike SB and adidas Skateboarding. Nike SB x There Skateboards newest clip is nominally to celebrate the release of the SB Dunk Low collab but also functions as a showcase for There Skateboards amazing team and to announce their newest rider Poe Pinson. Yeah, that's the same Poe Pinson you might've seen competing in the Olympics last week. I think we can all agree that the footage on this clip is much more representative of Poe's real life skating. Clocking in at almost 7 minutes, There Skateboards rapidly expending crew go off. There Skateboards is the brand that grew out of the queer collective Unity, established in California back in 2017 by Jeffrey Cheung. What began as a movement advocating for visibility and inclusion of the multi-faceted queer skate community has since become a brand of high regard distributed by DLXSF. We're big fans of There pro and editor of the clip Chandler Burton who throws his huge frame down some seriously gnarly urban objects. Big Nakie has got big pop and reminds us very much of OG Unabomber pro Harry Bastard. He also cracks his dome hard and gets bitten by a dog but you can't have everything eh? Chandler is joined by a clip of There riders and the aforementioned new recruit Poe Pinson. (If you're on Instagram then you've definitely seen her 5050 360 shove-it by now). Great music, interesting skateboarding, general life-affirming vibes. Big up.

Next up is another, at least tangentially-speaking, big shoe brand supported indy release featuring long term adidas Skateboarding Swedish tech ripper Gunes Özdogan. This is a solo part for Gunes' recently established Sensi Skateboards and if you like watching flawless and beautiful cutting edge ledge tech then you're going to love this. Switch inward heel 5.0s up hubbas, frontside flip fakie nosegrind reverts in lines and primo fits. Just watch it - he's dope.
