November round up: Mark Suciu, FA, Andrew Allen and more
Goddamn. November has been a heavy month for video drops. First up, the ever productive Mark Suciu with yet another part, this time for Spitfire wheels. Internet gossip regarding his (possible) thirst for that elusive SOTY trophy aside, this is textbook Mark Suciu. Insanely difficult ledge, hubba and manual tricks thrown together in long, flowing lines and performed with consummate ease. The Blubba tricks alone will make this one a much rewound clip for sure. Will it be enough to get past Thrasher's post-Phelps SOTY panel? Who knows, either way Mark Suciu must be one of the most prolific pro skaters in history at this point. Next up, Vans very own portly bank manager. Andrew Allen footage never disappoints and this Pixies scored 5 minutes does exactly what you're hoping for. Watch it, go buy a bowling shirt and some Vans Eras and then skate those near-vertical banks that you usually avoid. Tangentially connected to the above through AA riding for Hockey, Fucking Awesome's sister co, is the latest video release from Dill's FA vehicle. Clocking in at a frankly unnecessary 14 minutes, '420 E. 9th Street' is far from FA's greatest work. I love Louie Lopez as much as the next guy but do I really want to sit through a few minutes of mediocre (by FA standards) LES footage to get to him? The good stuff in here is really good - Louie Lopez continues to blow minds, newer heads Diego Todd, Joe Campos and Nik Stain come through with the goods and Ben Kadow does some ironic high ollie stuff, so FA fans will probably dig it but I struggled to maintain interest if I'm honest. In direct contrast to the lukewarm reception to the FA clip above is Dime's latest clip. The explosively powered tech of Will Marshall rarely fails to hit the target for me and this high energy pop music scored banger is another winner. For such a pint-sized dude, Will Marshall has an insane amount of pop. Crazy ledge lines, huge bump to bars, getting tattoos in the middle of heaving night clubs: brilliant. Dime do it again. Did you all catch this one? Jante â 10:34 a video filmed predominantly in Stockholm and featuring a bunch of Scandinavians you should already know (Gustav Tønnesen and Nisse Ingemarsson) plus a load of others who you'll want to know more of after watching this. With truly outstanding camera work and follow filming - Jante showcases some of the most gifted skaters on the planet. And the spots? Rougher than a dog's arse. Invest 10 minutes in this, it's worth it. Last but by no means least comes a new 10 minutes of fun from UK clothing crew Serious Adult. If the po-faced tone of that new FA clip got on your tits, watch this straight after for a palette cleanser. With a cast of Serious adult regulars plus Shaun Currie, Zeta Rush and Jeremy Jones - you can't go wrong here. Peep their previous clips over at the Serious Adult You Tube.
