Portions with Charlie Birch, Lucien Clarke, Kyle Wilson and more
Straight up banger right here: Portions with Charlie Birch, Lucien Clarke, Kyle Wilson alongside a smattering of the UK's best. London-based filmer and Palace contributor Austin Bristow has delivered! This is no weak sauce mini clip - this is 21 minutes of some of best London skating yet. Filmed over the last year (featuring many London tourist zones looking 28 Days Later), this has to be one of the best indy releases ever. When you factor in a list of heads including Charlie Birch, Lucien Clarke, Kyle Wilson, Danny Brady, Chico and our own Nick Stansfield - you know it's serious. Aside from the very heavy Palace skateboards presence, you also get all manner of London-based rippers both established and new. The music is varied and unexpected in parts (A-HA you say?) and there are a ton of well known London spots getting crushed. For a video like this to drop straight out of nowhere really is a testament to how fucking on it our national skate scene is right now. Massive big ups to Austin 'the silent giant' Bristow and to all those involved in this one. Absolutely incredible. Given that recent Palace skateboards recruits Kyle Wilson and Charlie Birch bookend this 21 minute beast, I think it's safe to say that we'll be looking at pro boards for both of them in the very near future. Both more than deserved too - natural talent, graft and solid human beings: what more do you want? If this one's given you a thirst for more London-centric ripping from the mind (and lens) of Austin Bristow, why not make yourself remember stuff via a reup of his 2016/17 Regulate series for Jenkem? Episode 1 is below. If you're looking for a more recent Austin Bristow release - check out the Birdman Jr. II focusing on Sam Sitayeb with appearances from Kyle Wilson and Heitor Da Silva.
