Primitive DAYDREAM, Just Drifting and Ben Chadourne's latest

Primitive DAYDREAM, Just Drifting and Ben Chadourne's latest

Strong month for mind-exploding videos so far. First up is the latest release from PRod's brand Primitive skateboards which, as you'll be expecting, is spit-your-tea-out ridiculous. Focusing on Primitive's trio of otherworldly talented amateurs: namely, Filipe Mota, Kyonosuke Yamashita, and Dylan Jaeb. Each one of these three approach death-inducing looking rails and gaps without a thought for their own safety and in this 27 minutes alone there are two Thrasher magazine covers. Just when you think skateboarding can't get any more ridiculous, here's Dylan Jaeb fakie flipping Wallenberg like he's doing it off the Aldi 2-stair. Absolutely bonkers.

Next up is some true British crust to offset the Cali dream spots and 1% fully paid to rip Primitive heads. Just Drifting is the latest video from Black Country one-man-media-empire Chris Emery featuring another trio of rippers. This time around it's James Woodley, Henry Fox and Ben Broyd. Tons of amazing hidden spots get handled by the grafters, the filming, editing and music is great and it's a perfect antidote to the sunshine and career-minded atmosphere of the Primitive video above. Skateboarder's Companion also have a great feature on the 'making of' which you can read here and, if you don't already know James Woodley's trajectory from childhood ripper, to jailed addict and back again, then check out his recent Companion interview too. Life-affirming stuff. Big up doing it for the culture.

Last but not least is the latest video from French ripper/filmer Ben Chadourne. If you're familiar with his name then you'll know what to expect - some of Skateboarding's biggest names (Hjalte Halberg, Nik Stain, Kevin Rodrigues, Vincent Touzery and Louie Lopez to name just a few), incredible fisheye work, minimum over-zoom and more KRod footage than you've seen in the last three years. What's not to like?
