St Patrick's day, or as some of you may call it The Feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious celebration that is held today, on the 17th March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c. AD 385â461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland. It was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century and is observed by the Catholic Church, especially the church of Ireland. The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and general celebrates the culture of the Irish. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals with the majority of people wearing the green attire or shamrocks. Not to miss out on the gallons of Guinness that are consumed by the masses, it's pretty much an excuse to get drunk for most. To celebrate St Patrick's day in skateboarding here's a few parts that include some heavily influential Irish skaters, enjoy.

Then to finish on we have a montage featuring a variety of local Irish shredders by Ride called 'Get Here'. Each section displayed above features a lot of footage that was filmed in Ireland. There are loads of spots that that I wouldn't mind checking out so maybe a trip across the Irish sea is in order. As for the rest of the day, go grab yourself a pint of Guinness and enjoy the celebrations in the rare Manchester sun. Happy St Patrick's day everyone!
