UK Primitive rider Charlie Munro scores two covers

UK Primitive rider Charlie Munro scores two covers of two different UK skate magazines in April.
Bagging yourself two magazine covers in the same month is an achievement in itself but doing so whilst the entire country is under lock down is something that's (hopefully) unlikely to be repeated any time soon.
We felt that this was worthy of a donation of virtual knucks to Cambridge-born ginger ripper and UK Primitive rider Charlie Munro really, and because, let's face it - we've not really got much else to do than stare at skate clips right now have we?
For the sake of clarity - you can see both of Charlie Munro's quarantine-themed covers here: the first was the cover of Grey released in early April, followed yesterday by an equally banging cover of Vague. I'm almost certain that this is something that hasn't happened previously - yeah there have been times when more than one skate mag has had the same person on the cover but I don't think that it's ever happened in the same month - and certainly not under the crazy circumstances that we're living through right now.
Anyway with cyber props out of the way - might as well revel in a little bit of Munro juice really mightn't we?
First rising to prominence via the Get Lesta series of videos, Charlie has subsequently gone on to achieve notoriety across the globe, be a semi-regular fixture amidst Thrasher's never ending web output, and get a legit (non-distro) direct sponsorship deal from the skateboarding super team of the modern era - namely Primitive Skateboards. Not bad for a ginner eh?
With his two covers landing in our store right now - what better excuse to air a few banging parts from the Munro back catalogue?
Above you can see a couple of our favourite bits of Charlie footage from the Get Lesta era - including the one (at the very top) made to celebrate the release of the 2016 Get Lesta x Primitive skateboarding collab.
Below you can check out Charlie's outstanding contribution to Kev Parrott and Dan Magee's masterful independent release 'Cover Version' - it's set to play from the beginning of Charlie's section but honestly, just watch the whole thing, it's amazing and Black Sheep family member Harry Lintell has the last part.
As well as all the above, here's the clip from 2019's UK visitation from the Primitive skateboarding crew - not bad for a few days eh? Whilst you're at it - I'd recommend hitting up the hyperlink here too and watching the utter devastation that the Primitive lot brought to Bay Sixty6 back in August of 2019. Craziest demo I've ever seen, hands down.
Finally, for now at least - check out Charlie Munro in the latest video from Pocket magazine featuring him and a host of other European rippers tearing up the ridiculous marble spots of the UAE. I'm not convinced by trap music still but this clip's a banger.
If all of this has whet your appetite to jump on some Charlie Munro related product, why not head over to our web store and check out the range of Marvel x Primitive boards that just came in? You know it makes sense.
In a bit...
