Blind Skateboards was founded by Mark Gonzales (aka the Gonz) in 1989 under Steve Rocco's World Industries empire. The name 'Blind' is an intentional slight to Gonzales' former sponsor Vision Skateboards.
Their first video release Video Days is still referred back to for its originality, with riders like Guy Mariano Jason Lee (Hollywood actor) and Rudy Johnson who all played a part in shaping modern street skateboarding as we know it today. Danny Way also rode for the company for a very brief period of time.
The current team consists of rippers like TJ Rogers, Micky Papa and Nassim Lachlab and is manufactured by Dwindle Distribution.
