If you pay any attention to what's posted on this blog then you'll be fully aware of our love of the Japanese skate scene. From Lenz III to 16-year-old girls front crooking Hollywood 16 first try - we're definitely paying attention to glorious Nippon.
On that tip, here's the latest part from formerly pint-sized wunderkind Kotora Mitani. If you've caught a glimpse of Kotora's insanely fast-footed skills previously, (possibly in Lenz III or any of the other adidas Skateboarding and Evisen skateboards releases he's been in) then you'll know that he is going to be a huge name in skateboarding's future. Kotora mixes the much-loved and very Japanese fast footed approach with genuine hammers in a way that perhaps had gone unseen until the release and global appreciation of the Lenz III full-length. Massive handrails? No problem. Lines involving 5 tricks where most would manage two at least? Sorted. One of the best kickflips in modern skateboarding? Oh yeah...
Mark our words: Kotora Mitani is going to be a household name for a long time and he's going to do it without compromising his own take on skateboarding for a second. The ride on lipslide on its own is real mind-blowing stuff. Don't take our word for it though - go watch NOW.
